Nodaway County, Missouri, is a rural area consisting of eighteen communities, a university, and a seminary. The Nodaway County Historical Society believes it is important to preserve the past in order to build the future. Since its reactivation in 1964, the Society has collected an array of artifacts related to the towns and the people comprising Nodaway County. Visit our museum and browse our site to learn more about the history, present, and future of our community.

Our museum campus includes the main museum building which includes a genealogy and local history research center, as well as extensive exhibit space with an ever-changing set of displays and a children's room that is a hands-on space for kids to play with toys from the past and present. We also are home to an 1883 one-room schoolhouse and 1849 historic home.
