The Embassy Suites by Hilton - South Congress Hotel is right where South Congress begins south of the Colorado River. It is near the beginning of Butler Park, Auditorium Shores and the Long Center for the Performing Arts, where you can catch orchestra and ballet performances. Watch the bats fly out from under the bridge nearby at the South Congress Avenue and 1st Street Bridge. The Lady Bird Lake bike and hike trail is also accessible from the hotel.
